METHOD 1: Go to the ACCESS CONTROL LIST REPAIR folder and follow the instructions there. METHOD 2: Go to the WINDOWS INSTALLER folder and follow the instructions there. METHOD 3; Go to the CLEAN INSTALL folder then the REGISTRY RESET folder and do steps 1 & 2. METHOD 4; After the install fails close the installer and go to your MSI.log file to find the exact root of the problem. (log files can be found at C:UsersusernameAppDataLocalTemp) The log file will have a registry key on the first line = ComponentsDA42BC89BF25F5BD0AF18C3B9B1A1EE8 (example) Open regedit and browse to the relevent key - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInstallerUserData S-1-5-18Components (example) Right click on the key and choose permissions - then the ADVANCED button Click ADD button, then ADVANCED, then FIND NOW - select the first option which should be your user. Click OK, and select "Full Controll" tick box when prompted. Click APPLY, then OK all boxes to get back to main regeidt screen. Delete all registry values except 'default'. Run installer and repeat for any new regkeys that appear if failure persists. METHOD 5: Go to the CLEAN INSTALL folder and do the clean install steps.
